Cluster Foster Care Scheme
Since our inception, in 2006, Elonwabeni had initially operated as a Safe House.
In 2010, Elonwabeni was registered as a Child and Youth Care Centre. Since 2017, Elonwabeni is registered as a Foster Care Scheme, as it offered a homely feel for our children, and best reduced the impact of institutionalised care for them. Elonwabeni provides a home to 24 children, ranging from 1 day old to 18 years of age. For young people who wishes to pursue their studies, Elonwabeni provides a support structure until they reach the age of 21. |
